City travelled to Newcastle on Sunday to face torrential weather which almost postponed the game. Thanks to the hardwork of NUWFC volunteers the pitch had the water cleared from it allowing the game to go ahead.

City saw two goals coming from Courtney Sweetman-Kirk but the Magpies equalised after both. City were reduced to 10 players on 50 minutes and saw a stout display from the remaining players securing the points against the odds with Kirsty Linnett scoring the winner on 86 minutes.
